Saratoga hospital is horrible, worst management ever in any facility. Honestly if you live nearby saratoga hospital dont waste your time there. Go to albany or glenns falls, you will be taken better care of and home quicker. I noticed more times than not the staff is confused and has to call above them to know what to do. I'm not the most intelligent of all but when the RN gives you the same information about what they know nothing about 3 times in 40 minutes something has to be wrong with the picture. They dont know what to do!!! Not even a straight sign on the outside of the building. Saratoga Hospital is a joke.

This is my opinion of Saratoga Hospital, stay away if you have a senior citizen.

I had a relative in the hospital. The ethics committee and the hospital pastor seemed very unethical and unprofessional. The pastor never visited the patient but was frequently seen in the cafeteria pandering to the upper echelon. The ethics committee of which the pastor was a member, met and made decisions with the patient without allowing family members to be present. The patient decision was made is their spin. We certainly don't believe this to be true. The hospital has family members "over a barrel" in a time of great stress. What could we do? An ethics committee attended the patient's wake, although the patient had no relationship with this person. This ethics committee member seemed very friendly with the patient's relative who was given favorable considerations.
