I came to your ER on 3/29/2011. I was seen by Dr. Jan Corbett. I was treated by her like their was no a thing wrong with me, she ran heart test and couldn't find the problem there so she called it anxiety, gave me an asprin and 2 antibodic pills and sent me home. I could not breathe and had saw burdin the day before and got x-ray of chest and was scheduled for a CT there on the 30th. I think the x-ray dept, could tell there was a problem. I had talked to Burdin's office and they looked at the ER report, now I can see why they wasn't to concerned, saying they wanted to see me if she gets a cancellation. Yesterday I went by Medical records and asked for a copy of the ER report, It included a Radiology report with some possible serious findings, Lingular infiltrate and Hilar granulomatous and Right basilar granuloma. I've had such pain and breathing problems, I've gone to Dr. Thurman, chirapractor for relief, which he has helped and is also concerned with a lung problem. If I had not gone myself 2 weeks later and found this radiology report I would not have a clue I may have serious lung problems. Dr. Burdins name was not listed as the primary physician on this report. Not one let me know about it and I can see why she wouldn't be aware of it either. This is why women die of heart and lungs, they are wrote off as an anxiety case by the ER Doctor. I do not think we need this Doctor in ER. She did me no service at all. I knew I was very sick, so she should have believed me and refered me to someone else if she couldn't find a problem. I also had a broken arm and another lady dr, treated it over a year ago. said it was not broken, go back to work. I did and it was broken as later was found by MRI, ordered by Burdin. Too late for me to have it set. She too would not listen to how much pain I was having. They make you feel like a fool. Maybe you could work with our local doctors better and bring cost in line with services at Columbia. A thyroid test of several hunderd dollars there instead of about $50 at columbia. Ct $300 more there. Surgerys much more here in Macon. I think this would help Macon's hospital a lot. Maybe you could research the ER Doctor to see why they want to work these hours at Macon, maybe due to past problems???? I really hate to complain, since the rest of the staff are great. You do however have a problem that need to be fixed. This Radiology report should have been sent to Dr. Burdin on 4/1/11, the day you got it, here it is 2 weeks later a much work missed and lots of money spent on bone scans and other test, trying to find the problem, when all along here is part of the answer. Thank you for you consideration on this matter. Please see that Bernie Orman sees this report and a medical review team there.
