I had a severe and life-threatening heart attack on 8-18-2012. I was transferred from another central Florida hospital to ORMC. I am glad they did! Even though I did not have insurance, I was given top-notch medical care. All of my doctors were informative with me and family members, kind, compassionate, and most of all, very good at what they do. I should not be here today. I survived a "widow maker" and had successful CABGX4. Everyone from the ICU nurses to the volunteers were friendly, concerned, compassionate, and caring. My nurses cared for me like I never could have imagined; including brushing and braiding my hair for me! They made a horrible and scary experience seem not quite so bad and I owe them my life. I would suggest this hospital to anyone who thinks there's more to medical care than just medical procedures.
