On Fri Oct 14 10:08:44 +0000 2016, Diane posted the following review:

My son who is in college had to go to the ER due to dehydration and continuing C-Diff infection.

He told the staff of his medical history, Crohn's Disease, and recent treatment for C-Diff.

The doctor/nurses on duty on Sunday, September, September 2, 2016 treated him like he was just there to watch the Giants game. Thank goodness to had his girlfriend drive him, so he had someone with common sense to speak with in his time of illness and frustration.

He hadn't urinated in 8 hours, he had diarrhea for 36 hours and his stomach would not allow him to eat or drink.

He had to insist on getting an IV of fluid, and the response was, " Well you know what your body needs, but your not dehydrated."

He did feel a bit better after the IV and went back to campus. The blood test at the ER said he didn't have C-Diff, but the stool culture he had been waiting for to come back, from another area lab, days late, confirmed he still had C-Diff two days later.

He was not treated seriously, and the staff he encountered were more interested in the football game. Granted he is used to the excellent medical care he usually gets at Massachusetts General Hospital, but you would think that they would treat his ailments seriously and with some concern.
